Court grants order to close Runcorn home plagued by drugs | Runcorn and Widnes World

A HOUSE that has blighted a community in Runcorn has been closed for three months. This followed a large number of reports of drug dealing and anti-social social behaviour involving the address in Brookvale, which Cheshire Police has chosen not to disclose. There have been reports of a large number of people coming and going at all hours and violent incidents at the house, some of which have spilled out onto the streets. There have also been reports of members of the community being subjected to threatening and intimidating behaviour from people linked to the address. Granted by Warrington Magistrates Court Wednesday, the closure order makes it a crime for anyone other than the landlord to be at the house over the next three months.

Man banned from owning dogs after woman bitten in street

A HOBBY breeder has been banned from owning or looking after dogs for five years after a woman was bitten while walking down the street. Damien Firth was tasked with looking after Apollo, an American bulldog, while the dog’s owner was in prison. But the canine attacked a woman and her small dog who were walking past his Callands home after the 33-year-old left his garden gate unlocked. Firth, of Granston Close, appeared to be sentenced at Warrington Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty to a charge of being in charge of dangerously out of control dog which caused injury.

Cheshire: Police shut down house at the centre of drug dealing and anti-social behaviour

A CLOSURE order has been imposed on a house that has been blighting a community in Cheshire. Officers from the Halton Problem Solving Team applied for the order under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. This followed a large number of reports of drug dealing and anti-social social behaviour involving the house in Suffolk Street, Runcorn. There have been reports of a large number of people coming and going at all hours. People linked to the address have been verbally abusive to members of the community in the street, and there have also been violence incidents at the house.
