Warrington Magistrates Court A 28-YEAR-old man from Warrington who stole an electric scooter worth almost £539 has been jailed for 16 weeks. Shehu Alexander Balogun, of Empire Court, Winmarleigh Street, appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court to be sentenced for the offence. The court heard how he stole the scooter from Go Outdoors on November 25 and assaulted an emergency worker on the same day. Balogun also appeared in court charged with breaching a restraining order on December 13. As well as the 16-week jail sentence, magistrates ordered him to pay £150 in compensation to the emergency worker. The defendant s guilty plea was taken into account when imposing sentence.
