A 21-year-old man charged with attempted murder over the alleged stabbings of two men in Stanthorpe at the weekend will remain in police custody until next month.
Taufoou Lamipeti is charged with one count each of attempted murder, intending to cause grievous bodily harm and common assault.
Police will allege the men were stabbed after an altercation with Lamipeti.
Crime scenes were established at Wallangarra Rd, where it is alleged the stabbings occurred, and Alice St about 3am on Sunday.
Lamipeti was taken into custody a short time later.
Defence lawyer Clare Hine represented Lamipeti in Warwick Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon, but he did not appear in person.

Craig Lewin Sharpley appeared in Warwick Magistrates Court on Wednesday afternoon to make an application for bail. The 26-year-old faces 10 charges including assault occasioning bodily harm, common assault, attempted assault, enter dwelling with intent, threatening violence and wilful damage. Defence lawyer Peter Sloane argued for the Goondiwindi man to be released on bail so he could return to work, but the application was opposed by police prosecutor Steve de Lissa.
Timothy James Gleeson, 63, and Joanne Waterhouse, 47, are each charged with one count of stealing.
Neither of the co-accused attended Warwick Magistrates Court for their mention on Monday, where defence counsel asked for an adjournment to take further instructions from their clients.
Police will claim the pair stole the funds while working in positions of trust at the Wattles club throughout the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
The Headington Hill couple were charged in June last year following a six-month police investigation, which was sparked by a tip-off about “financial abnormalities” from senior members of the club.
Neither of the co-accused have entered a plea.

Subscriber only A Warwick resident allegedly caught with undisposed syringes in her car was just one of several drink/drug drivers nabbed by Warwick Police on Friday night. Sergeant Shane Reid said a number of drivers were caught out behaving irresponsibly on Warwick roads. At 9pm, Warwick police stopped a 43-year-old Warwick woman for alleged drug driving on Wood St. She was also charged with a drug offence for possessing undisposed syringes. The 43-year-old will appear in the Warwick Magistrates Court on March 29. At 8.15pm, a 49-year-old woman was stopped on Victoria St for alleged drink driving.  She returned a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) reading of 0.123, more than twice the legal limit.Â
