24 HOURS: Two crashes, four drug drivers and more

Police attended a two-vehicle crash at 9.20pm last night at the Palmerin and Grafton Sts intersection. According to Acting officer-in-charge Shane Reid, a 34-year-old Warwick woman recorded a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.145. Police will allege another Warwick woman had stopped at the lights when the 34-year-old ran into the car. Acting Snr-Sgt Reid said it was “lucky” no one was injured. The 34-year-old will face Warwick Magistrates Court at a later date. It comes as police and paramedics attended another two-vehicle crash on the intersection of Fitzroy and Dragon Sts at 12.14pm. One motorist suffered a head injury but was transported stable to Warwick Hospital.

Four to face court over alleged $6m drug operation

The trio were granted bail in the Supreme Court on April 18, 2019. Ms Lien Tran, Mr Van Tran and Mr Vu all face two charges each of producing and possessing dangerous drugs, along with a further six charges each of possessing items used in connection with a crime or drug offence. Ms Lien Tran is also charged with two evasion offences. A fourth person, Duck Canh Phi, was initially charged with supplying a dangerous drug and possessing an item connected to a drug offence charges were yesterday dropped.  The four appeared in Warwick Magistrates Court this week, where Mr Phi s charges were dismissed, with police offerng no evidence.

BUSTED: Warwick thieves front court over crimes

Katherine Jean Fleming claimed she “thought she was doing the right thing” when she took her ex-housemate’s photo albums, computer, and clothing to her new residence in October last year. The Warwick Magistrates Court heard Fleming’s former housemate had no idea she had taken the items, despite the 42-year-old’s claims she had told them previously. Fleming contended she had known the housemate for nearly two decades and believed she was looking out for him when she took the belongings after their previous residence was broken into.
