Honig announced. Shameik Byrd, 31, pleaded guilty by videoconference before U.S. District Judge Madeline Cox Arleo to an information charging him with one count of distribution and possession with intent to distribute heroin relating to the overdose death of a 25-year-old man, identified in court documents as Victim-1.

Thomas P. Nolan, age 56, of 2198 Elmwood Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island was arrested for two (2) counts of Electronically Disseminating Indecent Material to a Minor. The arrest stemmed from an investigation by members of the Rhode Island Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. An individual later identified as Nolan engaged in a series of communications with a person whom he believed to be a 14-year-old male.
