Oxford Magistrates Court where cases from the Banbury area are held
Merban Ali Hussain, 31, of Padbury Drive, Banbury was fined £120 for breaking the coronavirus lockdown on April 3, 2020 at The Causeway, Banbury.
The court heard Hussain left the place he was living at in Charlotte Avenue, Bicester without reasonable excuse and made off from police officers and hid behind a car on a private driveway. In addition to the fine, Hussain was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £90.

Nicholas John Rutherford, 50, of Butchers Hill, Great Tew was fined £66 for breaking the 30mph speed limit in Bodley Road, Oxford in a Land Rover on June 26. His speed was recorded at 38mph. Rutherford was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and £90 court costs. His driving record was endorsed with three penalty points.
THE memory of an RAF Sargeant who tragically died is being honoured by his family a year on. Sergeant Scott McConnell, from Barrow, died while helping others on the road near Warwickshire in November last year. The 26-year-old was an adored son and big brother to Lee and Jenni. Jenni, who studies at Furness Academy, described her brother as kind and caring who went above and beyond for others. She said: He was really close to us all. We are a really close family. He was one of those people that put everyone else before himself - he really did care about his family and friends.
Sydney Fletcher is wanted by police in Warwickshire POLICE in Warwickshire are on the hunt for a man with links to Redditch who failed to appear in court in relation to several vehicle offences. Sydney Fletcher was due to appear at Warwickshire Magistrates Court but failed to attend. The 49-year-old has connects to Redditch, Bidford on Avon, Evesham, Ryton on Dunsmore, Leicestershire and Lancashire. Officers have released a mugshot of Fletcher in the hope that a member of the public may recognise him and alert police of his whereabouts. He is described as white, around 5 ft 7, of a large build, with brown eyes and a distinctive scar to his right hand.
