CK Reports 19 New COVID Cases | 99 1 FM CKXS | Your Music Variety

March 12, 2021   Another case of COVID-19 has cropped up in the school community of Wallaceburg District Secondary School. There is now one staff and one student affected by the virus, however public health officials say there’s no impact to the school itself and no classes have been dismissed. In Lambton County, a total of 15 public schools and four English Catholic schools have at least one student or staff affected by COVID-19. Brooke Central School in Alvinston has been closed with six positive cases, including two variants of concern. Overall, Chatham-Kent now has 61 active cases of COVID-19. Public Health is reporting 19 new cases today and 4 recoveries.

Two COVID Outbreaks Declared at CKHA | 99 1 FM CKXS

March 8, 2021 Two new outbreaks of COVID-19 have been declared at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. According to public health, two cases have been identified in the dialysis unit, and three more connected to lab services at the Chatham hospital. One more COVID patient has been admitted to hospital, bringing the number of CK residents with the virus in care at CKHA to two. There has also been a confirmed case at Wallaceburg District Secondary School. Public Health is working with the school community to notify staff and students who may have been in potential contact with the virus. In all, Public Health has confirmed 18 new cases since the last update on Friday, bringing the total number of active cases to 25.
