The Waldo Theatre continues its popular concert series streamed live in real-time from “The Waldo’s” historic stage with The Clements Brothers Thursday, May 13 at 7 p.m.
The Clements are George and Charles Clements, identical twins from New England. They’ve been playing and writing music together for as long as they can remember and “The Clements Brothers” marks their first project together since playing in the internationally touring grass-roots band, ‘The Lonely Heartstring Band.”
With roots, rock, bluegrass, jazz, and classical influences, George (on guitar) and Charles (on bass) aim to capture their singer-songwriter sensibilities in a unique blended voice, at once enthralling and intimate, groovy and serene. The core of the Clements Brothers is the fusion of their unique musical journeys into music all its own, filled with vocal harmonies, instrumental virtuosity, and a genuine love of song.

5 The Waldo Theatre in Waldoboro, which has been closed since 2014 and under renovation, has completed the “Open the Doors” capital campaign, exceeding the fundraising goal.
In recent months, volunteers have continued to safely work on the building, replacing acoustic panels and fabrics, replacing old upholstery on theater seats and installing stage lighting in time to launch a new three-camera live-streaming system.
Virtual programming will continue this spring, with safety protocols in place for artists, technical staff and volunteers. As soon as it is safe to do so, The Waldo will offer theater and music, films, dance and community events for live audiences. A new membership program is planned.
