It’s been much talked about as of late, but the “real” lightsaber Disney’s been working on has remained very tightly under wraps. Until now, that is. On this May the 4th, we finally have a first glimpse at the “real” lightsaber. And it certainly is the briefest of looks. However, that doesn’t mean it’s not the most impressive practical lightsaber we’ve ever seen. The 13-second clip simply features an actor as Rey activating the lightsaber. So we don’t know what else it can do, per se. But at least we don’t
think it can easily slice through most objects.

MALHEUR COUNTY
While the COVID-19 pandemic continues to disrupt live events, officials for the Malheur County Spelling Bee determined that the show must go on. The fifth annual bee was held virtually on Thursday, with its 90 participants from grades 1-8 taking part in the competition over webcam from their respective school sites.
Nyssa Elementary School once again played host to the bee. Principal Matt Murray explained the changes made to this yearâs bee in an email Wednesday.
âThe Bee is remote this year because of the clear health and safety concerns posed by the virus,â wrote Murray. âWe wanted to continue to host the event, and in an environment where everyone feels safe and secure.â

Stars to Participate in NBA G League Single-Site Campus

The Salt Lake City Stars, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, will be one of 18 teams to participate in the NBA G League single-site campus as announced by the NBA G League today.
“While we are disappointed that we will not be able to play in front of our fans in Salt Lake City, we fully support the league’s decision and appreciate the amount of effort by so many that has gone into finding a workable solution to be able to play a 2020-21 NBA G League season,” said Stars President Jonathan Rinehart. “We look forward to the opportunity to once again host games in Utah in the future.”
