BENGALURU: Help continues to pour in for India s Covid fight. Infosys has doubled its commitment to Rs 200 crore for Covid-related efforts. “Some of this will be directed to help set up and expand the capacity of Covid care hospital beds, augment the supply of oxygen concentrators and ventilators, as well as provide ration and support funds to migrant labourers and families impacted by the lockdowns,” wrote Infosys CEO Salil Parekh in an email to employees. Last year, Infosys had committed Rs 100 crore, including contribution towards the PM Cares fund.

Star & Disney India has pledged Rs 50 crore towards the procurement of critical healthcare equipment, including oxygen concentrators, BiPAP machines, and ventilators along with setting up oxygen plants across hospitals. Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEE) and Salman Khan Films have decided to donate a substantial portion of their earnings from the actor’s upcoming film, ‘Radhe’ to GiveIndia for Covid-relief.
