June 9, 2021 A 35-year-old Whitewater man is charged in connection with a single-vehicle crash last Friday that injured four people including himself. According to a news release from the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle driven by Sergio Alvarez was traveling in the 8100 block of Millis Road in the town of Whitewater when it failed to negotiate a curve and struck a tree. Alvarez and his three passengers were injured but were able to free themselves from the vehicle. Alvarez was arrested for operating after revocation causing great bodily harm, operating while intoxicated fourth offense, injury by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle, and failure to install an ignition interlock device.
