Volvo Trucks North America and the United Auto Workers union have reached a tentative agreement on the terms of a new contract, Volvo announced Thursday.
The new, six-year contract would cover around 2,900 employees at the New River Valley truck assembly operation in Dublin, Virginia.
Employees rejected a previous labor agreement earlier in June, and began a new strike.
The workers had previously gone on strike months earlier before returning to work as Volvo and the UAW reached another previous deal that was later rejected.
