Christi Riggs is anticipating the programâs impact on its young participants.
âIâm looking forward to seeing these girls grow in their faith, in their relationships with each other, in their service to the community,â observed Riggs, a substitute teacher at Trigg County middle and high schools and the troop coordinator for the communityâs new American Heritage Girls program.
The girlsâ program and its male counterpart, Trail Life USA, are debuting next month in Trigg County.
Meetings for both groups will be twice a month at The Way Christian Youth Center on Lafayette Street.
An informational meeting for the new programs is slated for 6:30 p.m. June 14 at The Way, and Riggs said sheâd like for people to come and learn about them. Youth can sign up during the session, learn more about the programs and the cost.
