TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– Are you looking to kickstart your weekend with some summer cruising?
Saturday is the first-ever Wabash Avenue Dream Cruise.
The event is a 14-mile trip for classic car lovers around downtown Terre Haute. Organizers encourage drivers to recreate a feeling of nostalgia, like when Terre Haute’s Wabash Avenue was a haven for joy riding in the fifties and sixties.
Event host Larry Wetnight says this is a great way to get out and showcase your classic cars.
“People that have these cars garaged, get them out, enjoy them. That’s what they’re for and just be careful,” Wetnight said.
