SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The San Diego Police Department is investigating a takedown involving two officers and an apparent homeless man.
Nicole Bansal took the video at the intersection of the La Jolla Village Drive and Torrey Pines Road around 9 a.m. Wednesday. I was pulling up to the intersection; a cop car came up fast behind me, two men- cops- jumped out of the car and immediately went towards this unhoused homeless man, she said. The immediate reaction for cops to start trying to arrest him or take him down, it s just shocking. That s why I immediately pulled out my phone and started recording.

On May 2, Grand Rapids police pulled over a Black man they thought was someone else because he was driving a silver pickup truck like the man they were seeking to arrest for a crime. The situation escalated to the driver being jailed for resisting arrest.

Wayne Lefkowitz, 56, and Guihua Cui, 51, who are married, each have been charged with promoting prostitution and two counts each of money laundering, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said. The charges were filed April 28 and 29, he said.

AUSTIN, Texas - An investigation is now underway after an inmate died Friday night at the Travis County Correctional Complex.
The Travis County Sheriff s Office says that a corrections officer was conducting visual checks on April 30 when they noticed 39-year-old Nicholas Vanwhye of Austin was unresponsive in his cell.
