Rakesh Singh, an
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL).
The post was vacant after
Ajay Seth was appointed as the
Economic Affairs Secretary by the
Union Government.
Singh’s posting could be on a temporary basis as Seth is expected to immediately take charge of the new post in New Delhi.
Rakesh Singh is also the Additional Chief Secretary of
Water Resources Department and the
Urban Development Department. He is also the administrator of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).

A sedition case was filed against BNP leader Mizanur Rahman Minu, also an adviser to BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, and four other party leaders today.
Awami League Law Affairs Secretary of Rajshahi city unit Mosabbir Islam filed the case with the Court of Metropolitan Magistrate Saiful Islam in Rajshahi, our staff correspondent reports.
The court recorded statement of the plaintiff but it has not passed any order yet, plaintiff s lawyer Nurul Islam Sarker Aslam confirmed.
On March 9, Rajshahi city AL sought the government s approval for filing a sedition case against Minu over his remarks on repeating 1975 assassination .
