A Senate Republican has launched an investigation into the Biden administration s awards of twono-bid contracts for handling migrants, worth more than $600 million, to an organization whose senior director has ties to top Biden officials.
Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin ordered Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Department of Health and Human Services to turn over all emails related to the contracts, as well as “any communications” between and among ICE and HHS employees or representatives of Family Endeavors, the group that was given the two massive contracts.
Johnson, the ranking member of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs’ Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, gave the government until April 28 to provide the internal documents.

Joe Biden has been desperate to find facilities to house migrant families and unaccompanied minors after causing a huge flood of illegal aliens across the border.
We previously reported about how he actually made an $87 million dollar contract to house migrant families in hotels. Jen Psaki was squirming when Newsmax’s Emerald Robinson asked how did they justify putting illegal aliens in hotels when National Guard in Washington, D.C. were previously made to take their rest breaks on the floor of a cold garage.
Turns out there’s even more to the story of the hotel contract, according to the Washington Examiner.

The Biden administration did not solicit bids for a multimillion contract to house migrant families in hotels and instead gave the massive contract to an organization whose leadership has ties to the White House, including one official who was on the Biden transition team.
In its rush to stand up facilities to hold families who come over the southern border illegally in rising numbers, the Biden administration signed a deal that a member of Congress and people with knowledge of the matter said presented a conflict of interest and wasted existing government facilities.
Last month, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (an agency of the Department of Homeland Security) signed an $87 million contract to acquire and oversee an operation involving 1,200 hotel beds to house migrant families in Arizona and Texas. The contract was given to the nonprofit organization Family Endeavors, based out of San Antonio, Texas, which has no previous history as an ICE contractor.
