A Johnson City man was taken into custody following a shooting investigation that began in the Telford area and ended with a vehicle pursuit.
Jonathan R. Hughes, 22, 1220 Indian Ridge Road, was charged late Tuesday evening with being a felon in possession of a firearm, aggravated assault, and felony evading arrest, violation of probation and possession of methamphetamine.
Deputies responded to a call at 109 Leona Road in Telford to check on a man who was sitting inside his truck after being shot in the leg at a different location.
Deputies found Jason A Phillips, 37, who named Hughes as the shooter and gave details about an argument that had occurred prior to the shooting incident.

According to testimony on Tuesday, Gardnerâs vehicle was identified on a nearby surveillance camera and was located at the corner of Crown Street and East Unaka Avenue. Police went to Gardnerâs home around noon that day and asked him to accompany them to the police department for questioning.
Stabbing
Officers arrested a woman Monday after she allegedly stabbed a woman at a Hamilton Street residence.
Annette Harvey, 51, of New Jersey, was charged with attempted first-degree murder, police said in a press release.
The identity of the woman stabbed was not released, but she was transported to the Johnson City Medical Center for treatment.
Officers were dispatched to 825 Hamilton Street on a report of a stabbing around 10:15 p.m. Monday.
Inside the house, it appeared there had been a struggle because furniture and other items were in disarray.
âItems linking Harvey to the incident were discovered inside and outside of the home. Harvey was quickly located by officers of the Bristol, Tennessee Police Department. She was transported to Johnson City and charged with attempted first-degree murder.
