The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said the names of the suspects would not be released to protect the identity of the 11-year-old child, who has been taken into protective custody. A malnourished dog was also taken from the home. Authorities who inspected the home called it “the worst they have seen during their law enforcement careers,” according to a sheriff’s office news release.
