If you are headed out on the roadways today, the good news is that several mountain passes are now open again after closure from avalanche control.
All three significant passes had been closed due to avalanche control from the Washington Department of Transportation. The good news is that two of those passes have reopened with one still closed according to the Washington DOT website.
Here are the currents conditions for the major passes in Washington:
Snoqualmie Pass:
Compact snow and ice on the roadway. Traction tires required vehicles over 10,000 GVW chains required, oversize vehicles prohibited. Eastbound five miles west of the summit from milepost 47, near Denny Creek, westbound four miles east of the summit from milepost 56, near Gold Creek.
