While other cases of coronavirus in pets have been reported in the U.S., state officials say these are the first reported cases in Washington. The Washington State Department of Health recommends that you avoid contact with your pets if you test positive for COVID-19. If no one else can take care of your pets, wear and mask and wash your hands before interacting with them. Call your veterinarian if your pet becomes sick.
