Letter: Vancouver mayor gets the job done By Terry Cappiello, Vancouver Share: It is easy to criticize but more difficult to research the facts and then make appropriate comments. Most people are unaware that the on- and offramps of I-5 and I-205 are not the responsibility of the city of Vancouver or Clark County. The responsibility lies with the Washington State Department of Transportation. WSDOT is not living up to that responsibility. Yet it is the mayor who is being criticized for the garbage generated by the homeless camps. This, despite the fact that it is Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle and her husband, Terry, who have been volunteers to WSDOT for more than eight years, cleaning berms and painting over graffiti. She has continued to do that despite the pandemic, organizing volunteers to remove garbage. Recognize what Mayor Anne is doing and address other concerns to swwebinfo@wsdot.wa.gov.
