Camas City Council Member Steve Hogan and Camas business owner Jennifer Senescu to seek position A pair of candidates have already emerged in the upcoming race for the position of mayor of the city of Camas. Current Camas City Council Member Steve Hogan and Camas business owner Jennifer Senescu announced their intention to seek election for the position vacated earlier this week by Barry McDonnell, who resigned effective immediately. A news release from the Clark County Elections Department announced that the position will be added to the list of offices open for filing beginning Mon., May 17 through Fri., May 21. Graduation celebrations are about to begin for students on the Washington State University Pullman campus. Close to 400 students are registered to participate in a drive-through graduation celebration on Saturday, May 1, beginning at 10 a.m., and over 100 students have signed up to participate in the virtual Multicultural Student Services (MSS) graduation celebration next week. The drive-through event is being planned by the Division of Student Affairs in partnership with Parking and Transportation Services, University Marketing and Communication, the university events team, and a number of others. Kim Holapa, associate vice president for external engagement and strategic initiatives in Student Affairs, said when the university made the decision to hold spring commencement virtually due to COVID-19 restrictions, WSU leaders wanted to do something extra to show graduates how proud WSU is of their accomplishments.

Apr 28, 2021 MINNEAPOLIS Lytton Alden Kendall was born March 26, 1936, in Minneapolis, to Lytton A. Kendall and Blanche Lenora Keller. He died of Parkinson’s disease at Evergreen Hospice House in Albany, Oregon, on April 16, 2021. He graduated from St. Louis Park High School in 1955 and received a BS in mining engineering in 1960 from the University of Minnesota. He worked as an engineer, then earned an M.S. in industrial engineering (Iowa State University) and Ph.D. (Ohio State University). In 1971, he received a Fulbright Fellowship, which took him and his young family to Kandy, Sri Lanka as a professor of industrial engineering at Peradeniya University.

WSU to require students, employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 April 28, 2021 11:27 AM Erin Robinson Updated: PULLMAN, Wash. Washington State University will require all students and employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by fall 2021.  The university will require proof of vaccination for the 2021-2022 academic year for all students engaging in activities at any WSU campus or location.  Exemptions will be allowed for medical, religious or personal reasons.Students whose programs are fully online are automatically exempt from the requirement.  All WSU Pullman students living in university-owned housing will need to provide proof of vaccination or have an approved exemption, by Friday, August 6.
