SALISBURY, Md. Two suspects have been arrested in a Wednesday morning fatal shooting in Wicomico County, one suspect is still at large.
Leslie Teo, 25, and Drequan Savage, 27, were arrested Wednesday night by Maryland State and Salisbury Police. The Salisbury natives are both facing multiple murder charges in the death of Gerald Nash, according to police.
The 28-year-old of Caroline County was shot that morning, and Salisbury Police were called to the 600 block of Hill Street at about 10:30 a.m. Police say they located the victim with the gunshot wound, and emergency medical personnel proceeded to rush him to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.
A Virginia man is facing rape and assault charges after a woman reported he sexually assaulted her at a Salisbury hotel, police said.
Officers responded just after 10 p.m. Thursday to the La Quinta Inn and Suites on South Salisbury Boulevard for a report of sexual assault, according to a Salisbury Police Department news release.
Police said they met with a 25-year-old woman who told them a male acquaintance engaged in a non-consensual sexual act with her and continued to do so even after she told him to stop in a hotel room he had rented for the night.
The woman was able to leave the room and report the incident to hotel personnel, who then called police, the release stated. Detectives identified the suspect as 38-year-old Maurice Johnson of Temperanceville, Virginia.
