Victoria records zero locally transmitted COVID cases

Victorian Health Minister Martin Foley announced no new locally transmitted cases were recorded in the state on Sunday after approximately 23,412 tests were conducted. The state recorded six new cases in hotel quarantine, one from an international flight crew member. Mr Foley thanked Victorians for coming out in such strong numbers and spoke of Queensland’s recent announcement of zero new cases, adding he was “very pleased” at the positive news. Despite Sunday’s news of no cases in Queensland, Mr Foley said Victorians in one of the five local government areas in Queensland identified as hotspots would need to stay there until at least Monday. “That continues to be the case and we will await further advice from our Queensland colleagues tomorrow as to what the Victorian government response will be,” he said. “Until we get the final report tomorrow, the Prime Minister’s announcements and the Queensland governments directions – which our government supports -
