The Victoria Hospital Foundation (VHF) has announced another major contribution towards a critical piece of equipment for the new Malhotra Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Prince Albert’s Victoria Hospital.
A cheque for over $180,000 has come from the Kinsmen TeleMiracle.
The funds will purchase a mobile DR X-ray imaging machine for the new unit. The portable imaging system will be set up with software programs that will optimally image fragile or sick babies.
The new neonatal intensive care unit which is under construction will offer a 4,000 square foot state of the art space and replaces the cramped 350 square foot facility currently being used.
