Northern California parents and coaches are launching an initiative for youth sports to start back up immediately. The California Interscholastic Federation oversees high school sports and Executive Director Ron Nocetti says the push from the “Let Them Pay” group can only make a positive impact.
In a statement from “Let Them Play” organizers, the group has gathered evidence and now is calling on the Governor to get sports back up and running. They plan to send 10,000 letters to Governor Newsom by Wednesday morning.

As the spread of coronavirus in Nevada County slows, high school athletes are poised to reconvene for practices and games this spring.
However, it’s unknown exactly when some those games will start.
Students and parents from the Nevada Joint Union High School District convened Thursday on a zoom call led by Bear River’s Athletic Director Scott Savoie.
