Travis Scott hosts holiday toy drive

Travis Scott hosted a holiday toy drive in his home city of Houston on Tuesday (December 22, 2020).
The
Mayor Sylvester Turner to stage the event in the Sunnyside Park neighborhood, where he grew up, and handed out presents for the children, as well as free meals, Christmas trees, and personal protective equipment in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Travis was joined at the
Holiday Toy Drive – where 2,000 toys were gifted to 1,000 children from local schools – by his ex
Stormi.
Stormi helping her dad at the event and posted it on her Instagram Stories.
Travis Scott spread the holiday cheer in his hometown on Tuesday (Dec. 22).
The rapper s Cactus Jack Foundation teamed up with the City of Houston and Mayor Sylvestor Turner to launch their first-ever Holiday Toy Drive event at Sunnyside Park. The group presented 2000 toys from Mattel and other brands to students and faculty across three local elementary schools, plus Houston residents. The contactless, drive-up event also offered produce, Christmas trees, comforters, blankets, clothing and PPE gear.

Today, Travis Scott x Cactus Jack Foundation in partnership with the City of Houston and Mayor Sylvestor Turnerlaunched their 1st Holiday Toy Drive event. This event took place at Sunnyside Park in Houston, the neighborhood Travis grew up in and presented 2000 toys from Mattel and other leading brands to 1000 students across 3 local Houston elementary schools and the faculty and local residents serving a total of 2000 people.  The event was contactless, drive up only. Produce was distributed for every family, Christmas trees were handed out, comforters, blankets, clothing and PPE gear were provided. Free meals and Turkey Leg Hut Food Truck was on site as well as fresh and canned produce was distributed. Attending the event was Mayor Turner, US Congressman Al Green, US Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, City Council Member Carolyn Evans-Shabazz and City Council Member Edward Pollard
