And, everything seems chopped with care here, in small bits for a nice distribution of goods in each bite. Restaurateur and Esmeralda survivor Carol Calleja dies aged 80

Carol Calleja, pioneering restaurateur and survivor of the tragic sinking of his yacht Esmeralda, has died aged 80 – 31 years after he was rescued from a drifting dinghy in a disaster at sea that remained impressed in people’s memories. But the entrepreneur was also known for his chain of innovative eateries, dating back to the 1970s, with which his name is synonymous, as well as for the Sliema Multi-Storey Carpark, the first of its kind in Malta. His daughter, Nicole Stilon, described him as a “people’s person”, who loved the restaurant scene. It was “all about meeting and being with people” and he needed that, Stilon said about the larger-than-life character, with an eccentric streak.

Food! Clothes! Books! These are all things that we love in the Duluth area. Who doesnt? As you know, B105 and our sister stations moved out of our old building on Central Entrance and moved to new studios back in 2019. We now reside in the Holiday Center in downtown Duluth. Since our exit, the building has remained unoccupied. I drive by it very often and every time I do, I think of all the places or businesses that would make a great fit for the building. You have probably driven by it at some point too! It is located on the corner of Central Entrance and Arlington and is located next to a Kwik Trip, Subway, McDonald s restaurant, among many other things.
