Clarkston Woman Accused Of Running Narcotics Through Whitman County With Her Son Wanted On Warrant For Missing Court

The 60-year-old Clarkston woman accused of running narcotics through Whitman County with her son is now wanted on an arrest warrant after she missed a court hearing. Karey Romaneschi faces narcotics charges in Whitman County Superior Court stemming from a January traffic stop along the Snake River.  Whitman County Sheriff’s Deputies allegedly found heroin, methamphetamine and pharmaceutical grade narcotics inside the vehicle along with drug paraphernalia and packaging materials. Romaneschi failed to appear at her court hearing on Friday.  The warrant for Romaneschi’s arrest includes a 10,000 dollar bond.  It’s valid in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Montana and Wyoming.  Her son Sheldon remains in the Whitman County Jail in Colfax.

Idaho Man Convicted On Federal Felony For Pointing Gun At Officers In Pullman Following Dangerous Car Chase Sentenced

The North Idaho man convicted on a federal charge for a pointing a handgun at police in Pullman following a dangerous high speed car chase has been sentenced. 33-year-old Dustin Pearson of Blanchard pleaded guilty in December to felon in possession of a firearm in U.S. District Court in Spokane.  Pearson was recently sentenced to just over 3 years in federal prison and was placed on probation for 3 years. The case began on the evening of April 1st last year when a Whitman County Sheriff’s Deputy was responding to a vehicle burglary along the Snake River.  Deputy Tyler Langerveld saw Pearson driving the suspect vehicle toward Pullman.  Pearson failed to pull over and led Deputy Langerveld on a chase at speeds up to 120 MPH before he crashed in Pullman on Wawawai Road.  Pearson ran from the vehicle and pointed a handgun at officers before hiding inside a nearby occupied apartment.  He threatened to kill himself during a half-hour standoff before surrendering.  Pearson told of

Pullman Man Accused Of Trying To Murder His Estranged Girlfriend Commits Suicide In Jail

The Pullman man accused of trying to kill his estranged girlfriend has died from an apparent suicide. Around 5:30 on Saturday night 35-year-old Jose Chagollan Flores was found hanging from the upper bunk of his cell inside the Whitman County Jail in Colfax.  Jailers, deputies, and paramedics tried to revive Chagollan Flores.  He was taken to Whitman Hospital and Medical Center in Colfax where he was pronounced dead.  The sheriff’s office believes that Chagollan Flores used a bedsheet to hang himself after routine rounds by the jailers. Chagollan Flores was waiting to stand trial for 1st degree attempted murder, 1st degree kidnapping, and 3 counts of 2nd degree assault in Whitman County Superior Court.  He was arrested during the early morning hours of August 1st just North of Pullman.  Witnesses said the victim ran to their vehicle for help.  Chagollan Flores then rammed their car with his SUV.  He then pulled his estranged girlfriend from the vehicle and stabbed her sever
