The cost to shoot at the range will be $3 for a round of 25 targets. All shooters will need to bring their own gun and ammunition, as well as their own eye and ear protection. The range has voice-activated releases for the convenience of the shooters and all shooting will be supervised by certified Range Safety Officers. Public shooting is only allowed during the designated, specified times.
The public shooting schedule is subject to change, depending upon the weather conditions. Any cancellations will be posted on the WCCB web site, as well as on the WCCB Facebook page and the WCCB Twitter feed. They will also be announced on KIOW Radio (FM 107.3).

NIACC and the Winnebago County Conservation Board have organized an outdoor educational event. They are hosting a “Spring Bird Walk” on Saturday, May 15
th. The program will be held at Pilot Knob State Park, five miles east of Forest City, from 10:00-11:30 AM.
Winnebago County Naturalist Lisa Ralls describes how the event will unfold.
The program will be very informative and cover a wide variety of birds who are both nesting and migrating through the area. Because the program is put together by North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC), there will be a fee to participate.
NIACC and the Winnebago County Conservation Board are hosting a Bird Walk on Saturday, May 15 from 10:00-11:30 AM at Pilot Knob State Park. Winnebago County Naturalist, Lisa Ralls, will introduce participants to bird watching; how to look for birds, what to listen for, and how to identify birds they find. Preregistration through NIACC is required and there is a $15 fee. To enroll, people should contact NIACC at either 641-422-4358 or at cereg@niacc.edu and ask to register for Course #8390.
