Winneshiek County Public Health and the area health care partners are asking the community for patience regarding the COVID-19 vaccine protocols.
A spokesperson reminds the public that there are currently NO lists available to be assigned for the COVID-19 vaccine. There is no list to get on at our office or any of the medical clinics for the COVID-19 vaccine, reiterated the spokesperson.
Winneshiek County Public Health and other providers are tasked with following a prioritization schedule from the CDC and IDPH which currently only includes very front-line healthcare workers. The vaccine will be distributed according to the schedule that is given to to the local agencies. When it is time for others in the community to be vaccinated, notification will occur via various media outlets including local newspaper, radio, Facebook and other news outlets.
