DOUGLAS Ross is calling for the Health Secretary Jeanne Freeman to resign, saying she has broken the Ministerial Code because she gave too much information about vaccine supply on the Scottish Government’s website. In the meantime Victoria Prentis, the UK fisheries minister, is backed by Boris and presumably DRoss (since he has not said a word against her) even though she admitted to a parliamentary committee she was too busy at Christmas to read the new regulations in the Brexit deal for fisheries. So he is calling for one person to resign for giving too much information while the other person who admitted to not doing her job is backed. It’s the old Tory way – do as I say, not as I do.
Bottle of milk This is the recommendation example for FIVE days schools meals and my first though is will that bread, yogurt, ham and milk still be safe to eat in five days. These contracts are given by local authorities to private companies – and the picture on Social Media is called a ‘food hamper’ suppose to be in value £30 but contains food probably worth around £5. Then we find out that Chartwell is part of the Compass Group and its former boss is Paul Walsh a multimillionaire Tory donor and Dominic Blakemore the current CEO of Chartwell earned £4.6m in 2019. I then looked at the calendar thinking we have morphed back to Victorian times but no it is 2021 and we still have the tories handing out contracts to there friends and donors and very willing to take food out of the mouths of children to enhance their own profits – self-serving conservatives is the only polite way I can describe them.
Police officers in riot gear line up as protesters gather at the US Capitol Building. Photograph: Getty THREE prominent British Unionists have looked at what’s going on in the US with the fascist Trump’s attempt to overturn the US election with violence. They have tried to smear the independence cause in Scotland as being the same as Trump’s fascist base. This is nothing but lazy debased reactionary political filth that passes for comment from the Unionist commentariat. Its classic projection. The Unionists are accusing the independence movement of the very thing they themselves are guilty of. In 2014 it was fanatical Orange Order members who started a riot in George Square. These brutes have regularly committed acts of thuggery and violence on their so-called parades the length and breadth of Scotland for decades. All of the UK’s far-right organisations from the BNP, the DUP, the Orange Order, the National Front, the EDL, Ukip and the Tories all support the Union.

George Foulkes thinks that hearing from the elected leader of a country during a pandemic is a party political issue THE Unionist “opposition” are an absolute joke. They never miss an opportunity to make absolute fools of themselves and prove how utterly useless they are. True to form, Ermine-clad “socialist” Lord George Foulkes emerges from the glorified geriatric home for failures, the House of Lords. All to prognosticate some absurd, ridiculous and nonsensical objections to Nicola Sturgeon’s daily Covid-19 briefings. This is a man who was filmed in a documentary appearing to fall asleep in the Lords whilst claiming his £300 per day.
