Rosemarie (Rosie) Jimenez May 11, 1935 ~ February 10, 2021 Rosemarie “Rosie” Jimenez, our loving wife, mother, great- grandmother, sister, aunt and friend entered eternal life on February 10, 2021.   Rosie was born to Matilda and George Marushack on May 11, 1935 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She was the darling of Rock Springs High School, where she was a cheerleader and member of student council, pep club and the National Thespian Society. She earned her nursing degree from Holy Cross Hospital School of Nursing in 1956 and practiced as a registered nurse for 30 years. Her extensive career included positions as a surgical nurse at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and as a home health nurse for Community Nursing Service of Salt Lake. She retired as the director of the outpatient clinic at Shriners Hospital for Children in Salt Lake City. Although retired, Rosie never stopped nursing. St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church warned parishioners and community members of email text scams seemingly coming from Father Oliver Obele asking for money in the form of prepaid debit cards or eBay gift cards; however, the source of the messages is not Obele. “It seems like, here we go again,” Deacon Bill Holguin with St. Vincent’s Catholic Church said. “This is the third or fourth time that people have requested money in Father’s name. And it’s usually as I have been able to gather a large amount.”

Food Giveaway Held on Monday at St. Vincents DePaul By Rick Loy - Staff Writer | Dec 30, 2020 The Mountaineer Food Bank Mobile Pantry food giveaway took place on Monday, December 23, in New Martinsville, WV. Long lines formed early as people awaited the food distribution taking place at the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church on Rosary Road just off State Route 2. The Mountaineer Food Bank is located at 484 Enterprise Drive in Gassaway, WV. The food handout was in conjuction with the Catholic Charities of New Martinsville. The event started at 11 a.m. and continued while supplies lasted, with each vehicle receiving one box of food. The giveaway was originally scheduled to take place last week, but the food truck showed up without the needed boxes of food. Organizers and those in line to receive the food for disappointed, however it was soon rescheduled and took place as promised. With an estimated 200-300 vehicles arriving to receive a box full of groceries, it was sure to bright
