December 21, 2020 With COVID-19 vaccinations underway and more doses arriving here today, hospital leaders this morning expressed both optimism and caution in advance of the Christmas holiday. It s been a week of a lot of excitement and a lot of hard work, Lovelace Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vesta Sandoval said during a news briefing. She said the vaccines were giving employees a little shot in the arm to help through this really difficult period of time. But we re not done yet: Our numbers are high in the hospital. All told, Sandoval said, as of this morning, Lovelace had vaccinated 75% of its front-line workers.
