Christus St Vincent hosts mass vaccination clinic in Santa Fe

New Mexico Reports 266 New COVID-19 Cases

April 8 at 3:55 PM New Mexico health officials today reported 266 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the statewide total so far to 193,247. The health department has designated 174,641 of them as recovered. Bernalillo County had 94 new cases, followed by Doña Ana County with 42 and San Juan County with 26. Santa Fe County had nine new cases. The state also announced 11 additional deaths; there have now been 3,974 fatalities. As of today, 87 people are hospitalized with COVID-19. The state s vaccine dashboard indicates that as of today 50.4% of New Mexicans 16 years and older have received at least one shot and 32.7% are fully vaccinated. The City of Santa Fe has announced its Office of Emergency Management is coordinating a series of large-scale drive-through vaccination events at the Midtown Campus in partnership with Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center starting tomorrow, April 9, with a goal of administering 2,000 to 2,500 vaccinations at each event. The department said one man was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center. His condition was not immediately known.
