Basingstoke Magistrates Court. Two men have been charged with operating a cannabis farm in Kingsclere. Daniel Sebastian Knowlson, of Brunswick Street, Reading, and Mark Christopher Slater, of Market Drayton, stand accused of producing cannabis in the village in May 2019. The pair are further accused of “dishonestly” using almost £20,000 of electricity. Slater, 58, will appear before Winchester Crown Court on August 11, whilst a warrant for the arrest of Knowlson, 31, was issued. A woman accused of assaulting a police officer in Basingstoke has appeared in court. Chelsea Ward-Smith, of Oickford Street in Aldershot, has been charged with assaulting detention officer Christopher Jakes on July 15.
