⢠At about 7 p.m., troopers with the Vermont State Police observed a 2015 BMW X3 traveling south on Vermont Route 30 in Dummerston. The operator of the vehicle displayed significant difficulty maintaining the lane of travel, traveling well under and over the speed limit and erratically braking for no apparent reason. Troopers conducted a traffic stop on Route 30 in Brattleboro, near the Retreat Farm. While speaking to the operator, Yonsuk Lee, 60, of Greenwich, Conn., troopers observed she was holding and consuming an alcoholic beverage. ⢠At 2.52 p.m., the Windham County Sheriffâs Office arrested Daniel Vaine Jr., 24, of Putney for driving while suspended after the vehicle he was operating was stopped for a traffic violation. He was released on a citation to appear in the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.

BRATTLEBORO â The Community Safety Review Committee is starting to see the shape of recommendations being developed by facilitators to make the town feel more safe.
âWeâre at a critical point in our process,â Emily Megas-Russell, one of the two facilitators hired by the town for the project that will result in a report due at the end of the month, said at the committee meeting held remotely Monday.
Responses from Town Manager Peter Elwell on questions posed at the last meeting were read to the committee on Monday. He said neither the Brattleboro Police Department nor the rest of town government plays any role in the school resource officer position â it is staffed by the Windham County Sheriffâs Office and overseen by the Windham Southeast School District, with no funding from the municipal budget.

⢠Officers with the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Maplewood Drive for the report of an altercation. As a result, Jeremy M. Bertolini, 33, of Brattleboro, was arrested and cited with two counts of first degree aggravated domestic assault, two counts of domestic assault and four counts of criminal contempt.
