VIENNA A Vienna man was arrested on drug charges Thursday by the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force and the Vienna Police Department.
Vienna Police Chief Mike Pifer said task force agents and Vienna officers executed a search warrant at 10 a.m. Thursday at 912 16th St. in Vienna, stemming from ongoing investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine in the area.
The search by officers yielded amounts of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, and marijuana. Officers also located U.S. currency on the property, he said. Information from the investigation also led officers to a room at the Wingate (by Windham) Hotel, located at 1502 Grand Central Ave. in Vienna. At the hotel officers located Benjamin M. Nash, 36, of Vienna, and Dakota L. Riel, 24, of Davisville. A search warrant was then obtained by the PNTF for the room occupied by the two and a search of the room yielded suspected marijuana and U.S. currency, Pifer said.
