There’s no question the last year has been challenging, with a global pandemic turning life as we know it upside down and causing plenty of hardship and loss. Counting down until the clock strikes 12 tonight is something many have been looking forward to for months, hoping 2021 will provide a clean slate and a fresh start.

HAMILTON - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have re-signed 2019 CFL most outstanding player Brandon Banks.
The American wide receiver will return for his eighth season with the club in 2021.
Banks earned his fourth CFL all-star selection in 2019 after leading the CFL in receptions (112), yards (1,550), touchdowns (13) and targets (158) in 16 games.

WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed American offensive lineman Jermarcus Hardrick to a one-year extension.
The six-foot-five, 320-pound Nebraska product will be entering his seventh CFL season in 2021, and fifth with Winnipeg.
Hardrick started every game for the Blue Bombers last year en route to a Grey Cup win.

TORONTO The Winnipeg Blue Bombers got the transaction ball rolling on Wednesday morning, inking OL Jermarcus Hardrick to a contract to keep him in Winnipeg through 2021.
The defending Grey Cup champs were followed by their rivals one province to the west, with Edmonton and BC and Calgary following suit and the Ticats keeping special teams guru Jeff Reinebold on staff.
