If one is required, there s an ethical framework doctors can use, she said. The ethical framework was put in place to ensure that in the event that a triage protocol is needed, it is there to help doctors put that in place, Stefanson told reporters after question period Tuesday.

A $2.7 million renovation at St. Bonfice Hospitalâs mental health building has transformed the ward to look less like one and more like a home for thousands of patients who seek care each year.
Those renovations were completed in April, two years after the hospital began fundraising for an initial $1.6 million to make improvements to the McEwen Building, which houses 34 patient beds. In the time since, 92 donors stepped forward to help foot the bill. Financial support also came from the province and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority to fund the buildingâs safety upgrades.
