The Airports Authority of India has issued an aeronautical information publication supplement (AIP) in this regard. “The purpose of this AIP supplement is to inform the stakeholders ( Airlines, ANSP, regulator etc.) about commissioning of north runway 09L/27R post rehabilitation at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru,” it stated. Baghel said, The commencement of air services to Delhi will help in the economic progress and industrial development of Bilaspur and surrounding areas. Also, people will be able to avail of low-cost air travel facility. It is noteworthy that the state government has so far approved Rs 45 crore for development of Bilaspur Airport. Image Source: IANS News New Delhi, Feb 16 : The Supreme Court on Tuesday asked the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the Ministry of Civil Aviation to reply, within two weeks, on a plea claiming there was a deliberate omission for years in installing the Engineered Materials Arrestor System (EMAS), which prevent aircraft from overshooting runways at vulnerable airports such as Mangaluru and Kozhikode. A bench, headed by Chief Justice S.A. Bobde and comprising Justices A.S. Bopanna and V. Ramasubramanian, told Centre s counsel: People are trapped in the aircraft, it is a horrible sight. Please look into it.
