PLA Xinjiang Military Command commissions Z-20 helicopter, vows to safeguard western border

The People s Liberation Army (PLA) Xinjiang Military Command has commissioned China s newly developed, plateau-capable utility helicopter, the Z-20. Observers noticed on Monday that the choppers seem to have modified engines that could boost their performance and survivability.
The command troops vowed to safeguard China s western border after recently conducting helicopter exercises over Pangong Tso on the China-India border Line of Actual Control (LAC).

The actions of the Governor, Doug Ducey, have put not only his state at risk, but he is threatening the viability of resources and undermining national defense.
Doug Ducey drew the ire of President Donald Trump when he certified his state’s fraud-riddled election results on Nov. 30. The governor may be no friend of the president, but he is most assuredly considered a pal by China. Ducey has been listed as a “friendly” in a Chinese think tank’s ranking of all 50 governors’ attitudes toward China.

(Bloomberg) A U.S. move to increase pressure on Chinese companies could threaten the nationâs ambitions to compete with Boeing Co. and Airbus SE.
The Trump administrationâs addition of Commercial Aircraft Corp. of China, better known as Comac, to a Defense Department list of companies with alleged Chinese military ties comes just days after a breakthrough in the state-backed jet manufacturerâs effort to win customers when an Indonesian airline agreed to buy its planes.

The shares of Xiaomi, the world s third-largest maker of smartphones, were slammed in Hong Kong trade on Friday after the U.S. Department of Defense labelled it as having ties to China s military. Xiaomi stock lurched lower as soon as trading started, and ended the day down 10.3%.
Xiaomi, which specializes in mass and mid-range phones, now sells more smartphones than Apple (AAPL) . It has been one of 2020 s success stories. Xiaomi s shares tripled in value over the course of the year, as it won business from its main mainland competitor Huawei Technologies, the primary initial target for U.S. sanctions.
