Frederick Edgar Ferguson (born August 18, 1939) is a former United States Army warrant officer and a recipient of the United States military s highest decoration, the Medal of Honor, for his actions in the Vietnam War. He was the first Army aviator to receive the Medal of Honor in Vietnam.
Frederick E. Ferguson was born on August 18, 1939, in Pilot Point, Texas. He attended Phoenix Union High School in Phoenix, Arizona. Ferguson joined the Navy after he graduated from high school in 1958, and served for four years as an aviation storekeeper.
OBITUARY: Michael Allen Walstrom, 1946-2020
Michael Allen Walstrom, age 74, passed away peacefully at home with family
December 25, 2020 after a year long battle with ALS. Michael was born
September 24, 1946 to Allen and Bernice Walstrom. He grew up in Fruitland
Ridge and graduated from South Fork High School in 1966. Mike was
drafted into the military in 1966 and served in the 68th Assault Helicopter
Company, 145th Aviation Battalion until 1967. After Vietnam, Mike moved back to
Humboldt County and landed in Rio Dell, where he started working at Pacific
Lumber Company.
Mike met and married the love of his life, LeeAnn, in 1976 after a short courtship.

Xavier Swartz is an 8-year-old scout from Pack-19 in Thompson. When Xavier wanted to send gift boxes to the National Guard for the holidays things got a little crazy.
