The German Communist Party (DKP) on May 10 issued a statement expressing its support for the lawsuit lodged by Vietnamese French Tran To Nga and Vietnamese Agent Orange/dioxin victims against 14 multinational chemical groups.

In a statement sent to the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany and the Vietnam News Agency representative office in Berlin, the DKP stated that on May 10, a court in Evry city, Paris ruled that the case fell outside its jurisdiction.

Hanoi (VNA) – Thailand’s
government has donated 12.8 million baht (over 400,000 USD) worth of
medical supplies to aid Laos’ battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The first donations worth
4.3 million baht, delivered last week by the Thai Embassy in Laos, comprised 2
million baht of cash, 180 patient beds, 2,370 sets of personal protective
equipment (PPE) and other medical supplies.
The second shipment of supplies,
valued more than 8.5 million baht, will be delivered by the end of this month.

Jakarta (VNA) – Indonesia is planning to ramp up spice exports to the
multi-stakeholder platform dedicated to helping
farmers export high-quality and sustainable spices.
According to the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, global demand for
spices is rising amidst the COVID-19 pandemic as the world is becoming more
aware of its healing properties.
