MS for North Wales Questioning the First Minister, I quoted constituents unable to walk safely in their local areas and struggling with mental health issues due to isolation, who asked me to appeal to the Welsh Government for an extended travel rule ‘so that we can talk, cry and support’. Responding to the Health Minister’s ‘Vaccination Rollout’ Statement, I quoted constituents who contacted me asking “why is it that England are seeing consistent and indeed increasing, vaccination numbers, as ours fall?”. In the Debate on petitions concerning the Covid-19 vaccination programme submitted to the Senedd Petitions Committee, I highlighted the 10,879 signature petition to ‘Give Police Officers the Covid Vaccination’, and criticised the Welsh Government for having dodged calls by North Wales Police Federation for Officers to be prioritised on standby lists.

The number of people in Wales claiming emergency Covid grants has hit a new high, figures have shown.
The Discretionary Assistance Fund (DAF) made nearly 6,000 emergency assistance payments in the week to 18 February.
Worth on average £65, they aim to help cover essential costs such as food, gas, electricity, clothing or emergency travel but unions and charities say the fund is not reaching enough people.
The Welsh Government said it had made it easier for people to apply.
Trade unions are now calling for the cap on the number of applications individuals can make to be raised again - it was raised from three to five last May.
Welsh public services receive £682m cash boost
Wales’ public services will receive a cash boost of more than £682m to support their COVID efforts over the coming months, the Welsh government has said.
Announced yesterday by the first minister, the package includes more than £635m for the NHS and local councils to help them deliver the vaccination programme, as well as boost testing capacity and the contact tracing programme.
The package also includes an additional £206.5m for the Local Government Hardship Fund, which supports social care services and ensures schools are able to adapt to their new ways of working.
