Recognition bonus awarded to essential city of Oswego workers

OSWEGO — Mayor Billy Barlow announced the city of Oswego will use funding from the American Rescue Plan to offer a recognition bonus to city employees deemed essential during the COVID-19 pandemic. City of Oswego essential employees include workers in the Department of Public Works, Fire Department, Police Department, Animal Control Department, Water Treatment Plant employees and individuals who work at either of the city’s wastewater facilities. The city has announced they will give each essential employee, including workers in the Department of Public Works, Fire, Police, Animal Control Department, Water treatment plant employees, and individuals who work at either of the city’s wastewater facilities a 500 dollar bonus.
