BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - Itâs been nearly two weeks since an exposure of COVID-19 at the Brunswick County Animal Shelter forced it to close, now, itâs back in business.
The shelter reopens on Monday at 8 a.m.
âOffice hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and Shelter Hours (Animal visits and adoptions): Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.,â according to a Facebook post.

The department is getting kudos for helping to rescue a fluffy white baby owl.
The owlet is now in the care of the Tails of Possumwood Acres Wildlife Sanctuary, which specializes in shorebirds, songbirds, raptors and small mammals.
