Rovers had planned to sell the land of their Senior Training Centre for housing
Rovers first announced plans to amalgamate their two training bases at Brockhall in February. Since then, chief executive Steve Waggott, manager Tony Mowbray, supporters, residents and councillors have all had their say on the proposals which would have seen the land on which the Senior Training Centre sits, sold for housing development. The current Academy facility within Brockhall Village would then have become the new home for the first-team, as well as the Category One Academy, in an all-in-one facility.. The club have since shelved those plans and will explore all options available to them before outlining their next move.

Pub drinkers in some parts of England will be forced to wear masks even when outside from Monday, thanks to even stricter rules for reopening drawn up by some overzealous councils.
Landlords have been told they must enforce mask-wearing by their customers when they are walking around beer gardens, despite national guidance that only requires face coverings indoors.
Rovers had planned to sell the Senior Training Centre land for housing
Rovers have announced they won’t pursue their Brockhall training ground proposals, following the public consultation period. The club had outlined their intentions to sell the Senior Training Centre land, next to The Avenue Hotel in Old Langho, to finance an all-in-one training facility where their Academy base is in Brockhall Village. Screening opinion applications were lodged with Ribble Valley Borough Council in February before a public consultation period took place from March 11-19. The plans, which would have seen up to 170 homes build on the land of the STC, faced opposition from supporters as well as residents who formed an action group in a bid to block the plans.
