WCCB Charlotte s CW May 3, 2021 Williams purchased his winning 20X The Cash ticket from the GA Mart on Wilkinson Boulevard in Charlotte. He claimed his prize Thursday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required federal and state tax withholdings, he took home $176,876. The new 20X The Cash game launched in February with 10 top prizes of $250,000. Three top prizes remain to be won. Ticket sales from scratch-offs like 20X The Cash make it possible for the lottery to raise more than $725 million per year for education. Timberlake sits across the street from the proposed Del Webb community, named the South Fork Senior Community.  Neumann, a former North Carolina house representative who serves as chairman of Cramerton’s zoning board, isn’t against the proposed development, but rather the future traffic congestion in the area if more developments are green-lighted. 

CATS Board OKs Revised Route Map For Proposed Silver Line Light Rail

It comes after months of public workshops that examined possible route alignments in six focus areas. Two overnight deadly shootings under investigation in Charlotte

(WBTV) - Two men were killed overnight in separate Charlotte shootings. The first shooting happened just before 11:30 p.m. Wednesday on Wilkinson Boulevard at Rosemont Street. Police say a man, identified as 25-year-old Demontravis Reid, was shot and killed. Around three hours later, a man was killed in a shooting at University City’s Sleep Inn on N. Tryon Street near W.T. Harris Boulevard. Police say they were called to a disturbance call at the hotel around 2:30 a.m. Thursday and found a man with a gunshot wound in a room. Medic pronounced him dead on scene.

A 25-year-old was fatally shot in west Charlotte Wednesday night sparking a homicide investigation, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. #CMPD has been on the scene of two separate homicide investigations after two people were killed in shootings in Charlotte. The first on Wilkinson Blvd, the second at the Sleep Inn on N. Tryon Street. #WCCBpic.twitter.com/6TMffaIoKY Officers responded to Wilkinson Boulevard around 11:40 p.m. after a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound.  The victim, identified as Demontravis Davonte Reid, was pronounced dead at the scene by medic.
